Comme on n'est jamais si bien servi que par soi-même, j'ai écrit à Lucien Grégoire, l'auteur de "Murder In The Vatican". Comme je vous le disais hier, il y a des zones d'ombre dans sa théorie sur la mort (pas du tout naturelle, selon lui) du Pape Luciani. Par contre, il semble avoir extensivement étudié la personnalité du futur Jean-Paul 1er et c'est probablement la biographie la plus complète. Et malgré tout, il n'est pas dit qu'on puisse juger les mérites de la première partie du livre (la biographie) sur la passion exprimée dans la seconde.

Voilà comment il me répond par rapport au scepticisme de certains d'entre vous sur l'homophilie publiquement exprimée du futur Jean-Paul 1er. Et bien entendu, je ne peux pas lui en vouloir de dire entre les lignes: mais lisez donc mon bouquin.

To begin with I would want clarify, that in my involvement with this Pope's life and his death, I have never had any info that would lead me to believe that he himself was gay.

Also, whenever he defended gays it was usually to accomplish his primary objective in life - to find parents for the then two milion orphans in Italy. This would have been the case in the comment on the backcover - in which he sought recognition of single parents.

Most of the important quotes are footnoted in the current edition now sold on Amazon. In the previous edition, I did photstat a couple of the original documents in italian into the book, but i removed in the current edition because i thought it to be overkill.

I can produce the documents that support the book, but most of them are in lock boxes in Europe.

Most of the lengthy discussions in the book are recollections and not necessarily precise. I added these in this edition because the book happened to have sold well in the gay community. So for authenticity, stick with the major quotes.

Had you asked me a couple of months ago, i could give everything you ask for.

However, I am now involved in with a large publisher for possible publication of the book and I restricted at this time in what can discuss. . But, if this thing falls throuigh, i will be freer to discuss openly.

Voilà, comme vous le voyez: difficile de se faire une opinion sans avoir lu le livre (en particulier les notes de bas de page) et sans y exercer un certain esprit critique. Mais je trouve toute de même qu'il serait trop rapide d'écarter son information d'un revers de la main en disant par exemple: ce n'est pas possible, je n'y crois pas.
